On the heels of Christian Fiscal Court District 7 Magistrate Russ Guffey announcing that he will run for Mayor of Hopkinsville, someone else has announced they will run to fill that fiscal court seat.
Todd Morris will be filing his paperwork to run as Republican for the District 7 magisterial seat in the 2026 election. A lifelong resident of Christian County, Morris says he inherited loves for politics and a passion for helping others from his parents—his father served over 20 years as a state representative, and his mother volunteered in numerous civic organizations.
He says, as a local business owner, it’s is important to grow the community and provide better opportunities for all residents while being fiscally responsible. He pledges to work tirelessly and diligently for the people of Christian County.
