The Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library is giving readers the gift of a clean slate this November. Through November 30, all fines will be waived for materials returned during “No Fine November.”
Executive Director Tiffany Luna says the initiative is a way to spread generosity and encourage community participation. She says “No Fine November” is one way they’re celebrating the spirit of giving this holiday season.
The program applies to books, audio books, DVDs and video games. Even damaged or overdue items can be returned without penalty, only for lost materials there will still be a replacement fee. However, pre-existing fines from past accounts will not be cleared.
Luna says she hopes people will use this opportunity to bring back borrowed items so others can enjoy them, too.
