The Tennessee Valley Authority is recognizing staff with the South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council for recently graduating from TVA’s professional development programs.
According to a news release, Associate Director for Business Retention and Expansion Tony Prim participate in the TVA Workforce Development program that’s designed to help communities understand how to effectively partner with education, workforce and government leaders to ensure the regional workforce is ready to meet any challenges.
EDC Executive Director Carter Hendricks graduated from the TVA Rural Leadership Institute, which was focused on issues and strategies to help rural, smaller communities compete in the global economy.
Hendricks and Prim join Associate Director Sharon Butts as graduates of one or both of TVA’s programs. Additionally, SWK EDC staff have graduated from the Kentucky Institute for Economic Development and the US Chamber’s Institute for Organizational Management.
