Local grand jury issues indictments for endangerment, fleeing crimes

A Christian County Grand Jury issued indictments for endangerment, fleeing and abuse crimes on Friday.

Twenty-year-old Keandre Jones of Hopkinsville was indicted for first-degree wanton endangerment and tampering with physical evidence after he reportedly pointed a firearm at a victim on September 13. Following the incident, Jones reportedly attempted to hide the firearm in a pile of laundry.

Twenty-one-year-old Elvin Garcia was indicted for multiple charges after he reportedly fled from law enforcement and struck a parked vehicle while under the influence on July 28. He was indicted for first-degree fleeing or evading police, leaving the scene of an accident, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, having no operator’s license, failure to maintain insurance, reckless driving and possession of an open alcohol container in a car.

Thirty-four-year-old Matthew Carter and 34-year-old Stacie Carter, both of Oak Grove, were indicted for two counts of second-degree criminal abuse of a child 12 years old or younger and second-degree criminal abuse. On September 24, law enforcement, reportedly found that children in the pairs’ home were living in poor conditions that could result in physical injuries.  

Thirty-three-year-old Markethia Mosby of Hopkinsville was indicted for two counts of distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor over the age of 12. Mosby was reportedly arrested in late August.

Forty-three-year-old William Woodruff of Hopkinsville was indicted for multiple charges after he reportedly unlawfully entered a home and resisted arrest on September 28. He was indicted for second-degree burglary, resisting arrest, public intoxication, three counts of third-degree terroristic threatening and third-degree assault of a healthcare worker.
