Auburn Bank has over 100 years of history in the region, and on Tuesday, a new milestone was achieved as bank officials cut the ribbon on their new location in downtown Hopkinsville.
The bank’s roots date back to the 1800s, when the first bank opened in Auburn, Kentucky, in Logan County. The bank maintains a location in Auburn and also has a branch in Russellville. The bank’s Hopkinsville location has been open for around two months.
Auburn Bank Board Chairman Earl Calhoun has worked with the bank for almost 32 years, and he calls the expansion and intentional step forward as Hopkinsville continues to grow. He says some of the bank’s owners are from Hopkinsville or have strong ties to the community, so they were already familiar with the area.
Calhoun encourages folks with banking needs to stop by and says they have qualified personnel who are ready to help them.
Auburn Bank President Brian White calls the expansion exciting and says the new location has already surpassed performance expectations.
Auburn Bank is located at 1002 South Virginia Street in Hopkinsville.
