After calling Hopkinsville home for just over 45 years, Bikes and Moore has officially closed its doors as of this week.
The last day was December 23, and in a post to social media, officials say the decision didn’t come easy. Calling it the hardest decision of their lives, the Bikes and Moore family thanked the community for their long-time support, whether that be a visit to the shop, a referral to a friend, every mile ridden on their bikes or even just a conversation, saying those interactions have been what kept them going for all those years.
That post was made at the beginning of December, and people showed their support and love for the shop, telling the stories of their first bikes, what the shop meant to them and what cycling has done for their lives—fueled by the folks at Bikes and Moore.
Bikes and Moore was located off of Sivley Road in Hopkinsville, and in a final goodbye, the staff says this is the close of a beautiful chapter they will always carry with them.
