Two hurt in Eagle Way Bypass collision

A two-vehicle wreck the Eagle Way Bypass Wednesday afternoon sent two people to the hospital.

According to the Hopkinsville Police Department report, it happened in the area of Heritage Christian Academy on the Bypass at just after noon. A vehicle driven by 69-year-old Ronnie Adams of Cadiz was traveling westbound in the right lane, and the same moment a vehicle operated by 20-year-old Alazah Reeves of Hopkinsville was left lane, heading west slightly behind Adams.

That’s when Adams tried to merge into the left lane, reportedly unable to see Reeves, and the two collided.

Reeves was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center by ambulance for injuries to the head and hand. Adams complained of chest pain at the scene and went to the hospital for treatment.

Everyone involved was wearing a seatbelt.
