Visit Hopkinsville announces the return of GoblinCon

Following the success of last year’s GoblinCon UFO and Paranormal Expo, Visit Hopkinsville Executive Director Amy Rogers appeared on WHOP and shared that GoblinCon will be even bigger and better this year.

Ever since she became the Executive Director of Visit Hopkinsville, Rogers says she knew she wanted to shine a light on Hopkinsville’s extraterrestrial history. In 1955, the Hopkinsville police station was swarmed with reports of people saying they had a close encounter with aliens in the Kelly community.

In October 2025, Visit Hopkinsville hosted its first-ever GoblinCon, and Rogers is excited to bring it back. She says last year’s GoblinCon attracted people from across the country and even a couple from Germany attended.

This year, GoblinCon will take over the Bruce Convention Center on August 22-23. However, before then, Visit Hopkinsville has planned several events each month to spotlight GoblinCon.

On April 18, Rogers is inviting 10 amateur cake decorators to their Area 270: Frosting Files Cake Decorating Competition. The competition will be hosted at the Christian County Senior Citizens Center, and Rogers says she plans to live stream it.
