Pedestrian seriously injured in Clarksville hit-and-run

The Clarksville Police Department is investigating after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run collision Thursday night. 

According to a news release, officers were called to the area of Scott’s Multi-Purpose Center on College Street in Clarksville after a man was found lying in the roadway at about 8 p.m. He was alert and conscious when EMS arrived and told officers he had been making his way across the street when he was struck by a vehicle.

The vehicle had left the scene before officers arrived.

The victim sustained a serious injury to his right leg, confirmed later to be a compound fracture. He was transported to a local hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

The incident is being investigated as a hit-and-run and anyone with information on the collision is asked to call 911 or Clarksville Crime Stoppers.
