MLK Early Learning Center principal to retire, interim leadership selected

Martin Luther King Jr. Early Learning Center Principal Kim Lint has recently announced her retirement, and Elementary Education Director Michelle Walden was selected as the interim principal.

Lint was selected to serve as the principal in December 2024, and according to the Christian County Public School System, she will be retiring on April 1. CCPS Superintendent Chris Bentzel says Lint has had a lasting impact on so many of their youngest learners and their families, and they appreciate her leadership contributions to the district.

As Lint exits, Walden is set to serve as the early learning center’s interim principal. Walden has worked in education at CCPS since 2001. Bentzel says Walden is a proven leader with a deep understanding of elementary instruction, and they are confident the school is in excellent hands during this transition.

Walden says she is truly honored and excited to serve as the interim principal of the early learning center, and looks forward to partnering with staff and families to ensure every child feels supported, inspired and ready to succeed.
