Oak Grove Police arrested 28-year-old Nathaniel Alexander after he reportedly assaulted a woman following an argument about money on March 2.
According to a report, Alexander started arguing with the victim over a $60 expenditure. The altercation then became physical when Alexander reportedly started choking the victim while she was next a six-year-old-child.
After freeing herself from Alexander’s grip, he attempted to prevent her from leaving the scene. The victim was able to escape from the room where the assault happened and call law enforcement.
Alexander was charged with fourth-degree abuse, first-degree strangulation, second-degree unlawful imprisonment. Officers also served Alexander with three arrest warrants for allegedly failing to appear in court concerning other offenses.
