A couple of Dawson Springs residents are facing serious charges in relation to a child pornography investigation stemming out of Texas.
According to the Madisonville Police Department, officers were contacted by an FBI agency in regards to an investigation out of Hubbard, Texas into child sexual abuse material that had led to the arrest of an individual there. That suspect had reportedly been in communication with two individuals in Hopkins County in March and April of 2025. Investigation lead to the identification of those individuals as 36-year-old Brittney Monahan and 38-year-old Brandon Talley, both of Dawson Springs.
A review of the communication between the parties allegedly revealed that both Talley and Monahan had received multiple images depicting child sexual abuse material from the suspect in Texas.
Monahan and Talley were located at an apartment complex in Dawson Springs and taken into custody on March 13 with help from the Dawson Springs Police Department.
Both are charged with possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under the age of 12, along with first-degree trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
