Fort Campbell announces country music line-up for Fourth of July concert

Fort Campbell leadership announced a country music line-up for this year’s Fourth of July concert to celebrate the nation’s 250th birthday.

The celebration will take over Fort Campbell’s Parade Field and will feature a “Legend of Charlie Daniels” Tribute Concert, which will include a hologram of Daniels who passed away in 2020.

Daniels was Grammy award winner, Country Music Hall of Fame member and a Grand Ole Opry inductee. He is best known for the songs “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” and “Long Haired Country Boy.” Country music artists Aaron Tippin and Eric Lee Beddingfield, as well as the 101st Airborne Division Band will perform at the concert too.

Fort Campbell was also added as one of the America250 Block Party locations along with New York City, New York; Los Angeles, California; Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Charleston, South Carolina. Each location will be hosting concerts and celebrations highlighting America’s independence day anniversary.

The occasion will also mark the launch of Giving 4th, a national initiative to make July 4 a day of giving back to those in need. According to an America250 press release, more details on the initiative will be announced at a later date.

Fort Campbell’s Fourth of July festivities start on July 1 when carnival rides open. The concert is free to attend.
