The Christian County Colonel Band is keeping the honors rolling this school year, as they’ve now earned Distinguished ratings across the board at their recent Concert Band Assessment.
According to band officials, the band students received the highest possible marks from every adjudicator, earning Distinguished ratings in all categories and achieving what’s known as “straight 7’s”, which is the top numerical score that can be awarded. This rating shows the outstanding levels of musical excellence and preparation from students and the band program.
In addition, the ensemble was recognized by the American School Band Directors Association for achieving a perfect composite score of 21.This honor places the Colonel Band among the highest-performing ensembles and gives them the honor of “Band of Highest Distinction.”
Congratulations to the Christian County Colonel Band on this achievement at their last Concert Assessment event, before they combine next year into the Christian County Tiger Band.
