There will be a Wind Chill Advisory in place for the entire region, including Christian, Todd and Trigg Counties, starting at 9 p.m. Friday and going until the morning.
That’s according to the National Weather Service in Paducah, which states that wind chills will be primarily in the single digits if not below 0 during the day. Then, those wind chills could drop to -10 or cold in some areas in the overnight hours.
The Wind Chill Advisory is set to lift at 9 a.m. Saturday, but chills will remain in the single digits Saturday, with high in the upper teens to lower 20’s.
Make sure to take care of your pipes by dripping faucets or opening cabinets to allow warm air to reach them—if you go outside, make sure to be properly dressed to meet the extreme cold.
