Deovion Day, who is charged with murder, then allegedly attempted to shoot Spencer but fatally shot Aniyah Collins and injured Gteria Acree.

At the pairs last court appearance, Commonwealth’s Attorney Maureen Leamy said she was considering on dropping the pairs complicity charges and did so on Wednesday which Circuit Court Judge, Andrew Self granting the motion.

With the complicity charges dropped, Humphries and Spencer face charges of first-degree assault and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

With some of the pair’s charges being dropped, their defense attorney, Sands Chewning made a request for their bond to be reduced to $5,000. Self denied the bond modification saying that there is a significant amount of evidence pointing to Humphries and Spencer having committed an act of gun violence.

In response to the motion denial, Spencer became vocal which led to Self threatening to hold him in contempt of court. Humphries and Spencer will reappear in court on February 7.
