Man seriously injured in I-24 collision

Two people were injured, one severely, in a two-vehicle crash on I-24 in Christian County Thursday afternoon.

It happened near the 73-mile-marker between two vehicles, and Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Captain Payton Rogers tells WHOP that a man in his 70’s was flown by helicopter to a Nashville hospital in critical condition with multiple severe injuries.

A second patient, a man in his 30’s, was taken by ambulance to a local hospital by Fort Campbell EMS.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Department is investigating.
