The graduating seniors at Christian County and Hopkinsville High Schools will be walking across the stage on Friday to receive their diplomas, and on Monday, the Christian County Public School System announced the keynote speakers of both commencement ceremonies.
Christian County High School’s ceremony will be at 5:30 p.m. and Robert Burnham will be the keynote speaker. Burham is an Army veteran who has worked at CCHS for the past 27 years. He currently serves as an assistant principal and one of the wrestling coaches.
In 2020 he was named the Kentucky Wrestling Coach of the Year, in 2024 he was inducted into the Kentucky Wrestling Coaches Association Hall of Fame and in 2026 he was inducted into the Christian County Athletics Hall of Fame.
Hopkinsville High School’s ceremony will be at 8:30 p.m. and Jeff Sisk will be the keynote speaker. Sisk is a graduate of HHS and is the general manager of WHOP News Radio in Hopkinsville. During his radio career, he has been a sports commentator for the Christian County Colonels for four seasons and the Hopkinsville Tigers for 25 seasons. Sisk was also also inducted into the Hopkinsville High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2026.
According to CCPS, Burnham and Sisk were selected as the keynote speakers by the respective school’s student bodies. Both graduations are set to be at the Stadium of Champions.
