The West Kentucky Antique and Vintage Market is returning to Madisonville at the end of June. Folks are invited to shop for one-of-a-kind items, and this year’s market will include a scavenger hunt for the kiddos.
According to a news release, the market is in its fourth year and it has nearly doubled in size since its inaugural year. The 18,000 square-foot market will be filled with vintage advertising, collectibles, antiques, country store items, furniture, glassware, home decorations, primitives and much more.
This year, younger attendees will get to participate in a scavenger hunt called the Jr. Picker Passport. Participants will get a passport including items in the market, and as there are discovered, they will check off those items. Once all the items are found, kiddos can stop by the concession stand for a prize.
Colbi Ferguson from the Hopkins County Tourist and Convention Commission says they wanted to create an experience that allows children to actively participate in the market, spark conversations between generations and inspire the next generation of collectors and antique enthusiasts.
The market also coincides with the Highway 41 Yard Sale, which stretches from Todd County up to Henderson County. More information about the yard sale is available at highway41yardsale.com.
The market will be at the West Kentucky Archery Complex on June 26 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on June 27 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The complex is located at 3100 Grapevine Road in Madisonville. More information about the market is available at visitmadisonvilleky.com.
