Monday starts the first full week of the Western Kentucky State Fair, after a busy weekend full of events, food and fun.
Monday is a special celebration of the 75th anniversary, where fair admission is only .75 cents with gates opening at 4:30 p.m. Unlimited ride armbands will be $25 per person, there will be Arenacross in the grandstand and Organizer Megan Marsh says fair goers have a chance to win some money. They’ll host a drawing for $750 at the convention center at 9 p.m. tonight, with Marsh saying you won’t want to miss out.
Marsh says it’s a big milestone to reach 75 years and paired with the 250th birthday of the United States of America, they’re expecting to a great time with the fair this year. And with sunny skies in the forecast, Marsh invites everyone to come enjoy all their local fair has to offer.
After a tumultuous weekend full of storms and a tornado warning, the numbers are still looking pretty good for fair attendance, with 4,465 people visiting on Saturday and 5,384 going through the gates on Sunday.
