Man killed in Butler Road stabbing

An investigation is underway after a man was stabbed to death on Butler Road early Saturday morning.

Hopkinsville Fire and EMS was called to a location in the 2000 block of Butler Road around 1:30 for reports that a man had been stabbed, according to Captain Payton Rogers. Upon arrival, they located the adult male victim laying on the porch with multiple stab wounds and immediately began life-saving measures.

Ultimately, those efforts were unsuccessful, and he was declared deceased at the scene.

Christian County Deputy Coroner Tim Fleming has identified the victim as 42-year-old John Anthony Foster Jr.

A female victim may have also been stabbed in the incident, and following a pursuit that ended in the parking lot of a business on East Seventh Street in Hopkinsville, it is believed that everyone involved in the incident is in custody.

Forty-two-year-old Julian Bell of Hopkinsville has been charged with first-degree murder and first-degree assault in the incident.
