University Heights Academy opened up its 2026 boys’ high school golf season Monday at the Henderson County Invitational.
Battling warm temperatures, the Blazres took seventh place with a team score of 344.
Luca Torres shot a 40 on the back nine and led the way for UHA with an 83. Cal Givens carded an 84 after shooting a 39 on the front nine. Courtland Gibson finished with an 87 and Nash McAfee had a 90. Max Falco finished the day with a 103.
McCracken County won the team title with a 297. Madisonville (312), Owensboro Catholic (312), Henderson County (325), and Hancock County (341) rounded out the top five.
The Blazers and Lady Blazers were scheduled to play at Marshall County today, but that tournament was cancelled due to heat. UHA’s girls’ team is scheduled to play at Boots Randolph Golf Course in the Trigg County Invitational on Wednesday. The UHA boys’ team is scheduled to play Thursday at Boots Randolph.
