Hopefully you enjoyed the break in the heat last week, because it is back in abundance this week, with a Heat Advisory already in effect for much of western Kentucky.
Christian, Todd and Trigg Counties have managed to avoid being put into the Heat Advisory as of Sunday morning, but it’s not going to feel like we have, with heat index values expected to linger between 100 to 105 degrees. Monday has the potential to be even hotter, with heat index values possibly breaking 110 degrees across the region.
There are some very slight chances for rain to start the work week, but whatever rain does fall won’t do much to bring some relief from the heat.
There is a small chance that stronger storms could pass through the eastern portion of the area Sunday afternoon and especially Monday afternoon.
