Amanda Brunt selected as new city public information officer

After the position temporarily sat vacant, the City of Hopkinsville announced that they have brought Amanda Brunt on board as their new public information officer on Friday.

According to a news release from the city, Brunt has served multiple roles surrounding marketing and communications and joins the City of Hopkinsville from her previous role as the marketing director of TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield, Tennessee.

Before working in Springfield, Brunt served as the Public Information Officer and Marketing Director for the Christian County Health Department.

As the City’s Public Information Officer, Brunt will be responsible for producing material about Hopkinsville, organizing special events, improving upon city transparency as well as working with city departments, agencies and elected officials.

Hopkinsville Mayor J.R. says Brunt will play an integral role in building effective internal and external communication strategies and is confident the experience and she brings to the table will ensure her success in this role.

Brunt says she is excited to have the opportunity to work alongside fellow Hopkinsville colleagues and serve the community.
