The Pennyroyal Arts Council hosted an evening of entertainment at its signature fundraiser, Picnic with the Pops: Kentucky Derby Edition, last Saturday, where people were recognized for their commitment to the local arts.
According to a news release, Jessica Roseberry was named Volunteer of the Year. The Council says that from coordinating volunteers to maintaining a welcoming presence at the Alhambra Theatre, her efforts made a lasting difference.
Planters Bank received the title of Champion of the Alhambra, honoring its years of support and commitment to the arts in Hopkinsville. Planters Bank CEO Elizabeth McCoy says they are delighted to sponsor the arts. She says what the Alhambra Theatre and Pennyroyal Arts Council do is so crucial to what happens in the community, and that Planters Bank is proud to support their work.
