With warmer weather settling in and the trees starting to turn green, the Pennyroyal Arts Council is gearing up for their spring and summer schedules.
April 12 sees the Steep Canyon Rangers take the stage at the Alhambra Theatre at 7 p.m., with tickets available now. Crystal Ferreira with the Pennyroyal Arts Council appeared on WHOP Thursday and says the Steep Canyon Rangers have spent nearly two decades bending and shaping the bluegrass aesthetic, implementing elements of pop, country, and folk rock to create something completely original.
She says they’ll have lots of fun educational opportunities coming up for kids, including the return of the summer art camps, with a focus on visual arts hosted by resident artist and Art Educator Paula Gieseke in the first weeks of June.
Space is limited, so if you’re interested, sign up online at pennyroyalarts.org.
Then in July is the return of the Missoula Children’s Theatre on July 22 through July 26, with a showing of Jack and the Beanstalk set to take place July 27. Ferreira says they’ll be doing auditions that week, and there’s a spot available for everyone grades first through twelfth.
