Black Market Hoptown event set for December 2

Vansauwa’s Tacos and Vegan Eats will host its second Black Market Hoptown, this time with a holiday twist on December 2 at the Hopkinsville Brewing Company.

According to a news release, attendees can enjoy a festive shopping experience that day from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., where it will feature handmade desserts and gift items from regional entrepreneurs, along with plenty of sweets and treats on hand.

There will be 16 vendors, with six of those creating what Zirconia Vansauwa is calling “the Sweet Shop”. Returning vendor Honey Bee’s Bakery will have its decadent caramel cake. New vendor I Got The Sweets Babii will be selling her twist on the popular Christmas Tree cakes, and Tishauna Douglas of the 3 Tys Agency will be selling a unique Grape Salad just to name a few. Vansauwa’s Tacos and Vegan Eats will also be debuting its Winter Warmer menu.

“Treats” vendors will be selling items such as handmade leather goods, candles, custom tumblers, resin and wood art, jewelry, locally crafted skincare products, home scents, Christmas wreaths and more. The market will feature DJ Postman, pianist Jerone Williams and live holiday music sung by local vocalists.

Vansauwa says, “By gathering under one roof, we create an opportunity for people to eat and drink, connect with the business owners and have a good time.”

“We invite everyone who loves sweet treats and the holidays to come out and support,” she said.
