Brice Long talks music, blessings, and Back-2-Back Foundation with Rotary

The Rotary Club of Hopkinsville got a visit from a hometown celebrity at Tuesday’s meeting, as country music artist Brice Long spoke about the Back-2-Back Foundation and its impact.

Long established the Back-2-Back Foundation in 2005, and every year since has hosted a concert in the summer to raise funds to benefit families in need in Christian, Todd and Trigg counties, especially around Christmas time. Long says that concert, and the number of people who donate to the cause, have only grown ever since, and so they’re now able to help more people than ever.

Long says none of it would have been possible without the generosity of this community.

He says he’s been blessed by his time in the music industry, and has since been able to return some of that blessing to the place he calls home in a way that directly benefits the people here.

Long had a lot of people he gave thanks to for the roles they have played over the years—but he especially thanked God and his father, who recently passed away, for the push he needed to get going.

The Brice Long Back-2-Back Foundation concert and other fundraising efforts have successfully raised over $1 million since its inception, and Long is looking to keep going strong, with the concert to set to return to the Alhambra Theatre this summer.
