Campanile Productions is returning to the historic Alhambra Theatre in March, with a spectacular production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella.
According to a news release, the show is about a young woman named Ella, living a life of servitude to her cruel stepmother and self-centered stepsisters, who wishes the world would be as lovely as it looks. In another part of the land, the prince is having a hard time finding his purpose in life, even though he is to become king soon. The two, along with a full cast of supporting characters, journey together through self-discovery and love.
This will be the second time Campanile has put on Cinderella, and this showing brings new cast members along with established, well-know company members. Chassity Mumford, a Hopkinsville native and signed artist with the HipHoptownUSA, ARC Exhibit will be making her musical theater debut with the role of Ella, and Christina Hemsath, a Clarksville resident and classically trained opera singer from Clarksville, will be playing the Fairy Godmother.
Tickets to the four evening and two matinee performances can be purchased at campanileproductions.com. The show will take place March 13th through March 17th.
