It will be a weekend full of celebrations, as Casey Jones Distillery kicks off their Red, White and Booze event on Thursday—and the party will go until Sunday.
This is Casey Jones’ signature summer festival, and brings with it live patriotic music, food and drink experiences and community celebrations. Starting Thursday is a patriotic music weekend, starting with the Pennyrile Area Community Band at 7 p.m., then Friday will be the Alonzo Pennington Band starting at 6:30 p.m. before it all culminates on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. with the 101st Airborne Division Band.
All performances are free to attend and family friends, with guests encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to find a place to settle and watch the show. Smokin O’s BBQ will be on site each day for food options.
There will be family activities throughout the weekend as well, including the Military Affairs Committee First Responder Social starting at 3 p.m. on Saturday, the Hopkinsville Fire Department will be there with firetrucks and a Cornhole Tournament will get underway Saturday.
There will also be plenty of opportunities to sample new liquors prepared by the master distillers, including the official launch of the Cinnamon Cut Whiskey. Guests will be able to hand-fill, cork, seal and label their own bottles of Black Label Bourbon, which will then be signed by Master Distiller Arlon Casey Jones himself.
