Christian County Public Schools’ marching band programs are celebrating a successful competition weekend at the Murray State Festival of Champions.
The Christian County Marching Colonel Band and the Hopkinsville High School Band of Tigers were up against a highly competitive field but that didn’t stop the band students from bringing their A-game.
CCHS earned Reserve Grand Champion, finishing just behind the reigning 3A state champion, Murray High School. Christian County was also recognized with Best Overall Percussion and Best Overall Woodwinds.
For Hopkinsville High School, the Tigers finished fourth place overall and also earned Best Overall Color Guard out of 17 bands.
Trigg County’s Marching Band earned 2nd place in Class 2A and finished 13th overall, while Caldwell County took third in class 2A and 15th overall.
