The Christian County Public School System announced that Kevin Crider, the current principal of Christian County High School, will take on the role of assistant superintendent beginning July.
According to a news release from the school system, Crider was selected from a pool of candidates by a selection committee composed of district administrators and principals. Crider says he is extremely honored to accept the Assistant Superintendent position and is excited to help lead the district.
Crider is a graduate from Christian County High School and he began his education career at the same high school in 1999. At the high school he worked as a teacher before transitioning to athletic director and then assistant principal.
Crider went on to serve as the principal of Christian County Middle School in 2015 before taking on the role of consolidation coordinator. He then returned to the high school in 2023 to serve as the principal.
School Superintendent Chris Bentzel says they are excited to welcome Crider to the leadership team who brings with him a wealth of knowledge and familiarity with county secondary schools to the role.
