As students and educators prepare for the school year, the community is invited to a prayer circle hosted by the Christian County Public School System to pray for student success and a productive school year.
CCPS Full Service Community Schools Director Nicole Poindexter says the community prayer circle is open to everyone, not just those a part of the public education system.
At the circle, Poindexter says 11 individuals will be delivering prayers spotlighting students, their parents, teachers, administrators and school staff.
The community prayer is set to take over the Stadium of Champions at 6 p.m. tonight and Poindexter says she hopes to see folks fully circle the track surrounding the field. Public school students return to class on August 18.
