Christian County Public Schools got a chance to present to at the Kentucky Department of Education Town Hall event that was held in Eddyville.
The event was held at the West Kentucky Department of Education Cooperative as part of the Department of Education’s “United We Learn” Town Hall, which was held to invite educators to the join the Commissioner of Education—Dr. Robbie Fletcher—for a conversation about the proposed accountability model and its inclusion of local accountability measures.
Instructional Supervisor Dr. Kadi Ralston lead the presentation about CCPS, showcasing the Profile of Graduate initiative and more.
The Commissioner of Education and the Kentucky United We Learn Council are hosting Town Hall meetings across the state in an effort to guide community conversation to shape the future of education, including a review of the new accountability system framework.
Dr. Ralston says, “Including community, business, and industry stakeholders into the drafting of Profile of a Graduate was a pivotal and crucial part of the process. Being able to showcase that work to the Western Kentucky education community was an honor and we are lucky to be able to highlight all the great things happening in CCPS.”
