As floodwaters recede public schools are returning to in-person learning, Christian County Public Schools are set to have a one-hour delay on Thursday, April 10, but several bus routes will not be running due to high water still impacting roadways.
According to the school system, the canceled routes mostly impact students attending South Christian Elementary School, Hopkinsville Middle School and Hopkinsville High School.
The canceled bus routes include:

- Bus 181, Ollie Hancock
- Bus 182, Roberta Grimes
- Bus 183, Jill Dihl
- Bus 196, Tracie Salters
- Bus 201, Tammy Brumley
- Bus 211, Tim Beal
- Bus 212, Amber Belinger
- Bus 216, Toni Majors
- Bus 135/ sub bus 551 Ronnie Rougemont
While many families are still impacted by flooding, the school system encourages parents to remain safe while transporting their students to school. Parents are also encouraged to contact their student’s principal if they are unable to transport their students to school.
While areas in Pembroke are still impacted by flooding, bus routes have been adjusted to avoid high water areas. Inspire Early Learning Academy will operate on normal hours and a.m. and p.m. preschool is canceled for Thursday.

Other area school systems:
Trigg County Public Schools announced that they are set to resume in-person learning on Thursday, April 10, but preschool is set to resume on Monday, April 14.
Muhlenberg County Schools announced that they are set to resume in-person learning on Thursday, April 10. The transportation department is working with families who are in areas affected by flooding to determine an alternative route.
