Governor Andy Beshear is calling attention to October as Manufacturing Month for Kentucky.
The state continues to climb in economic growth and job creation, with over 6,000 facilities across the Commonwealth employing over 260,000 of Kentucky’s residents in the manufacturing industry alone.
Beshear thanks manufacturing facilities for contributing to the success of the unmatched workforce. In a news release, he says Kentucky has positioned itself as a national leader in manufacturing and it plays a key role in preserving the sector as a whole.
The praise for Manufacturing Months follows a noticeable four-year period of high economic growth in the state’s history.
Frank Jemley, President and CEO of the Kentucky Association of Manufacturing, recognized the state’s ability to provide the world with Kentucky made products and salutes the people and companies that are building production to affect lives for the better.
