Local nonprofit, Challenge House announced the addition of a new neighborhood ambassador for its Crockett Street location on Tuesday.
Mary McClearen is the new neighborhood ambassador for Challenge House #5 and she officially began her duties on August 1. Challenge House Executive Director, Michelle Wilson introduced McClearen and says it has been a while since Challenge House #5 has had an ambassador and she is happy to have McClearen join their team.
McClearen is originally Tennessee and has lived in Hopkinsville for the past seven years. McClearen shared that she is honored to take on the role of ambassador and looks forward to serving her community.
Before McClearen took on the position, volunteers from First Christian Church helped ensure Challenge House #5 was running smoothly. Scott Ross from the church says members of the church have enjoyed working with local youth and hopes they were able to have a positive impact on them.
