Christian Co. Animal Shelter, Petco team up for new lost pets program

As July is National Lost Pet Prevention Month, national nonprofit organization Petco Love and Christian County Animal Shelter are urging pet parents to prepare—before pets go missing.

 More pets go missing in the summer than any other season, as fireworks, road trips, and open doors become more common. An easy proactive step pet parents can take in case the unthinkable happens is uploading a photo of their dog or cat to Petco Love Lost, a free nationwide database powered by AI photo-matching technology for lost and found pets that has reunited more than 100,000 lost pets with their families.

Petco Love Lost is a powerful, easy-to-use platform that helps reunite lost pets with their families in Christian, Todd, and Trigg Counties and all over the country.  All you have to do to take part is Upload a photo of your pet today to Petco Love Lost —so you’re one click away from help if they go missing tomorrow. If you a find a lost pet in your community, you can upload their photo to help get them home safely. Petco Love Lost is free to use and folks are invited to register now, relax all summer.

If your pet did go missing and was found somewhere else, the individual or agency could post a photo of the lost pet to the database, which quickly searches through the database for any similar animals who have been reported missing, along with every major animal shelter in the United States.
