Christmas at the Bend is set to take over Jeffers’ Bend Environmental Center this Saturday, and the community is invited to come enjoy holiday activities and cheer.
Charles Turner and Diane Croney-Turner with the Jeffers Bend Steering Committee appeared on WHOP recently and spoke about all the fun and educational events that they have planned. Turner says there will be plenty of arts-and-crafts to take part in, educational booths about holiday safety and more to take part in.
Croney-Turner says there will be snacks, hot chocolate, and of course the man of the hour—Santa Claus himself will be there taking pictures at $5 apiece. She says they’ll also be making Christmas cards that will go to area nursing home residents.
Turner says new this year is a giveaway for a brand-new grill, but you’ll need to go to each of the eight stations and get a stamp for a chance to win.
The event takes place from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. this Saturday at the environmental center off of Metcalfe Lane in Hopkinsville—for more information about the event, you can visit Jeffers Bend Environmental Center on Facebook.
