City councils in Christian County see incumbent, newcomer mix

Along with the seats on Hopkinsville’s City Council, seats on the city councils in Oak Grove, Crofton, Pembroke and Lafayette were also up for election.

Residents in Oak Grove voted to give all incumbents another two-year term. Janet Edwards, Edward Cook, Isaiah Spencer, Jean Leavell Richard Baker and John Campbell were reelected. Newcomer Leah Wright received the fifth most votes but withdrew from the race.

Residents in Crofton voted for Wanda Croft, Reta Fleming, Gregory Owen, Wendall Alexander, James Grace and Jeff Chandler to serve on the city council.

Residents in Pembroke voted for Joe Rives, Karen Pyle, Kevin Earwood and Walter Bell to serve as their city commissioners. All four candidates were unopposed.

Lastly, residents in Lafayette voted for Timothy Hancock, Norma Jean Banks, Sandra Torres and Brandon Borneman to serve as their city commissioners. All four candidates were unopposed.
