The Clarksville Police Department is investigating after a man was shot on Greenwood Avenue Monday afternoon.
According to a news release, officers responded to the 900 block of Greenwood for reports that a shooting had occurred at roughly 5:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they located an adult male victim suffering with a gunshot wound—they immediately began life-saving measures.
The victim, identified as 39-year-old Robert Agee, has since died of his injuries, prompting a homicide investigation.
Preliminary investigation indicates this was not a random act of violence, with the investigation continuing.
