A two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Eagle Way Bypass and Cox Mill Road resulted in possible injuries on Wednesday.
According to a report from Hopkinsville Police, Carolyn Singleton of Hopkinsville was driving south on Cox Mill Road and attempted to turn left onto Eagle Way Bypass. As she was turning, a vehicle operated by James Craig of Oak Grove was traveling west on the bypass in the right lane approaching the Cox Mill Road intersection.
Craig reportedly told officers, that as he was driving the vehicle in front of him stopped and so he switched into the left lane because his brakes were not working correctly. When he went around the other vehicle, the intersection’s light was red and Craig ended up colliding with Singleton’s vehicle as she was turning.
Singleton ended up running to the passenger side of Craig’s vehicle. Singleton was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for possible injuries.
