A Crofton woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash on Dawson Springs Road Wednesday morning.
According to the report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Jasmine Fitch of Crofton was heading south in the 4500 block of Dawson Springs Road around 6:15 a.m. when a deer entered the roadway in front of her.
She swerved in an attempt to avoid the deer, causing the vehicle to drop off the right side of the roadway, and she reportedly overcorrected in an attempt to get back on the road.
The vehicle struck a ditch and overturned, coming to a stop against a tree line.
Fitch was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
