While we are getting a reprieve from the heat this week, that does mean daily chances for rain and storms are the name of the game this week.
Forecaster Sean Poulos with the National Weather Service in Paducah says those rains and storms will be widely scattered, with the highest chance being the afternoon hours—some places could see no rain and others could see a couple of inches, just depending on where it develops.
Poulos says enjoy the cooler temps while you can, because they’ll likely not stick around for long.
In fact, in the 8-to-14 day outlook, the trends are showing the possibility for higher that average temperatures and higher chances for participation, so Poulus says stay tuned for any possible storm systems that may develop early next week.
