Deputies arrest Crofton man for multiple arrest warrants following a pursuit

Christian County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 50-year-old Danny Cook of Crofton for two arrest warrants following an on-foot pursuit on Tuesday.

Deputies responded to a residence on Jan Drive to locate Cook in connection with an active investigation. Once deputies arrived, Cook reportedly fled through the back yard and was later located in a back yard on Clarence Street.

After checking the National Crime Information Center, deputies reportedly found that he had active arrest warrants out of Calloway County and Indiana. The Calloway County warrant comes with charges for theft or disposition of an automobile and theft by deception, including cold checks.

A search of Cook’s truck then reportedly revealed a smoking pipe with residue and a folded dollar bill that had suspected methamphetamine.

Cook was additionally charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, possession of drug paraphernalia and first-degree possession of a controlled substance.
