Deputies arrest man after unlawfully entering a home

Deputies from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office were called to a residence on Grapevine Road in Crofton on Thursday after a man had reportedly unlawfully entered a home wielding a knife.

According to the report 56-year-old Joseph Parrott was arrested after a caller reported that Parrott had unlawfully entered his residence tied a belt around a dog’s neck and waved the knife at the caller. The caller then said, Parrott left his residence in a pick-up truck.

After searching, deputies located Parrott in a camper on the backside of the caller’s property and reportedly told law enforcement that he was only trying to get his dog back. Deputies took Parrott into custody and charged him first-degree burglary.
