Kentucky State Police have released additional information on a fatal semi versus pedestrian collision that happened on I-24 in Christian County Monday morning.
It happened just before 4 a.m. near the 74-mile-marker of I-24 when a tractor-trailer driven by 36-year-old Stephen Adams of Pleasant View, Tennessee was heading westbound. Adams reported seeing a vehicle stopped in the shoulder of the roadway and he moved into the left lane to give space to that vehicle.
That’s when the semi struck 29-year-old Kenneth Blackley of Golden Valley, Minnesota, who was reportedly standing in the roadway at the time of the collision.
Blackley was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Christian County Coroner.
At this time, no criminal charges have been filed.
