The Christian County Sheriff’s Department has released details on a vehicle versus horse and buggy collision Wednesday night on Pembroke Road.
According to the collision report, investigation determined that a vehicle driven by 17-year-old Ethan Wilson of Trenton was heading down Pembroke Road towards Elkton when a vehicle began to pass him, and that’s when he saw the horse and buggy ahead of him and was unable to avoid a collision.
The two collided, sending the horse and buggy and Wilson’s vehicle off of the roadway, both overturning.
The operator of the horse, 21-year-old Tim Hoover of Pembroke, was flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment.
The horse had a back leg injured in the collision, but those who took it into their care stated they believed it was going to be alright.
