If you didn’t get a chance to donate blood in honor of Chase Pemberton, then you’ll get another chance on Thursday as officials host a second blood drive.
It will take place on Thursday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., and this one will take place at the North Central Institute in Clarksville, at 168 Jack Miller Boulevard. Due to high turn out at the first blood drive hosted earlier in the month at First Christian Church, some folks weren’t able to donate at that time, so Blood Assurance is hosting a second.
You can register for a time slot on bloodassurance.org/chase.
Chase Pemberton was recently diagnosed with leukemia, and while receiving treatment at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, his family learned for blood shortages across the region.
Donors will receive a “Lead the Way” t-shirt, and are encouraged to eat a good meal, drink extra water and bring your ID when you come to donate.
Chase is awaiting a bone marrow transplant and his care team is optimistic about his recovery.
