Dry Spring weather in store this week, could get frosty Tuesday night

It’s looking like smooth sailing weather-wise this week, with dry Spring weather settling into the region, with only a few scant chances for rain.

That’s not great news for our drought conditions, as our rain this past weekend could have really used the back of more rain to bust that drought. Meteorologist Kate Hickford with the National Weather Service says rain chances move back in on Thursday, but they’re slight, and temperatures are going to warm right back up.

Things might even get a bit frosty Tuesday night and into the early morning hours, with Hickford saying temperatures will dip below normal.

They’re also keeping an eye on the potential increase in fire hazard conditions, though a lot of that will be determine on how the wind cooperates this week. Hickford says there is a signal for a possible heavy rain event on April 13, but it’s still pretty far out and she’s not holding her breath when it comes to rain events, as a lot of rain signals have been a bust lately.

Also in the 8-to-14-day outlook, temperatures appear to be trending above normal, continue our streak of a very warm Spring weather.
